Frequently Asked Questions
My practice is exclusively online at this time. This model provides the flexibility many clients need without the hassle of travelling. It’s perfect for those who want to attend sessions from the comfort of their own space, whether cozying up in their favourite blanket or sipping their favourite drink. Online therapy removes the barriers of time, traffic, and weather. It also makes it easier for you to prioritize your well-being on your terms, allowing for a more relaxed and genuine experience.
I provide receipts with all the necessary information you can submit to your insurance company. Please check with your provider to see if they will reimburse you for therapy services.
In Ontario, the term “psychotherapist” is regulated under the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), meaning I am licensed and held to specific ethical and professional standards. As a psychotherapist, I provide deeper, long-term therapeutic support that explores the root causes of emotional challenges, relationships, and personal growth. While counsellors often address more immediate challenges, psychotherapists like me work with clients to explore deeper patterns, such as past trauma, family dynamics, and long-term emotional patterns. My approach is integrative, meaning I pull from various therapeutic modalities, such as psychodynamic therapy, emotion-focused therapy, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed techniques, to provide a holistic experience that is tailored to your needs.
Individual Therapy: $165 for 50 minutes, $225 for 75 minutes
Family Therapy: $200 for 60 minutes, $275 for 90 minutes
Workshops: Rates vary depending on the length and topic of the workshop
The ideal frequency depends on your circumstances, including time, commitments, and finances. Generally, I recommend starting with weekly or bi-weekly sessions for consistency and to build our therapeutic relationship. Over time, as you begin to feel more grounded, we may adjust the frequency to monthly sessions, depending on your needs and progress. Therapy is a long-term investment in your growth and well-being, and I always encourage open conversation about what works for you as we move forward.
I offer a flexible, integrative approach to therapy, recognizing that no single modality works for everyone. My practice is rooted in understanding the whole person—mind, body, and culture—drawing from various evidence-based therapies. I blend psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and emotion-focused techniques with insights from attachment theory, neuroscience, and developmental psychology to help you gain deeper self-awareness, heal relational patterns, and build emotional resilience.
Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences, family dynamics, and cultural identity shape your present, while working to create a more aligned, intentional life. Each session is designed to meet you where you are, helping you move forward with clarity, trust, and a deeper connection to yourself and your relationships.
Culture plays a significant role in shaping how we see ourselves and relate to others. Our upbringing, family dynamics, and cultural norms influence our beliefs, values, and behaviour patterns. In therapy, I consider these layers to better understand the root causes of struggles like difficulty setting boundaries, the pressure to meet family expectations, or challenges balancing personal identity with community values. By examining how culture shapes your thoughts and emotions, we can create space to challenge those influences, uncover more profound truths, and find new ways of being that align with your true self. This approach helps foster healing by recognizing the multi-dimensional nature of each individual’s life.
