Let’s Make Space for Your Story, Too.

You’ve always been the strong one who keeps the peace, holds it together, and tries not to upset anyone.

But lately, you’ve been wondering:

What about me?

You want to break patterns, not people, to feel more grounded in who you are, without guilt or fear driving your choices.

Therapy Across Seasons emblem – symbol of growth, healing, and emotional connection

You’re in the right place.

I believe healing happens when we feel seen in all our layers, not just the roles we’ve had to play.

I’m Jennifer Bonilla, founder of  THERAPY across SEASONS

Registered Psychotherapist (MDiv., B.A., CYW)

I help adults and families navigate the emotional and relational impact of cultural expectations, family dynamics, and personal identity. I do this work because I know how deeply these layers shape our sense of self and relationships… and because I believe healing happens when we honour complexity, not erase it.

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Counselling, a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and a Diploma in Child and Youth Work. My career began as a Child and Youth Worker, supporting young people in nonprofit organizations, residential care, and schools. I later moved into case management and counselling, deepening my understanding of how early experiences influence emotional patterns and relationships into adulthood.

Growing up in a multicultural city and living at the intersection of many identities, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to my work. I’m passionate about helping clients explore how culture, family, and internal expectations shape their lives and creating a space where they can build clarity, confidence, and connection at their own pace.

My Story

THERAPY THAT MEETS YOU WHERE YOU ARE

I created Therapy Across Seasons because I saw a need for a different kind of therapy: one that doesn’t offer cookie-cutter solutions, but instead honours the full complexity of who you are.

HEALING AT YOUR OWN PACE
I know healing isn’t linear, and it doesn’t happen overnight. Through years of working in child and youth care, case management, education, and counselling, I’ve seen how deeply early experiences shape our emotional worlds. I believe therapy should create space to unpack those layers with patience, curiosity, and care.

A SPACE FOR REFLECTION AND GROWTH
You don’t have to have it all figured out. I’ll meet you where you are, whether you’re navigating cultural tensions, struggling with emotional overwhelm, or simply longing to reconnect with your authentic self.

MY IDENTITY

I’m a proud first-generation Canadian, raised in the vibrant, multicultural city of Toronto. My roots are Salvadorian, and that means I’ve always navigated between cultures, embracing the beauty of both.
